Uganda has joined the rest of the world to celebrate the International Nurses Day.

This year’s day is a special one as the medical workers are faced with the challenge of the deadly Corona Virus (Covid-19) that has put the whole world on tension.

During the early days after Covid-19 was diagnosed in the world many Doctors ordered nurses as thier were subordinates to take care of Covid-19 patients.

Uganda Health Minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng has applauded nurses in Uganda for a their wonderful work done especially during this period of Covid-19 pandemic.

‘On this International Day of the Nurses, I would like to specially recognize and appreciate the phenomenal work done by our nurses,’ says Dr Aceng

“Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, they continue to exhibit commitment and compassion to all their patients, she added”
