Thousands  attend women’s convention in Nebbi Diocese Church of Uganda

From east to west, South to North, Believers from all walks of life in  Nebbi Diocese Church of Uganda,Madi and Westnile Diocese have turned up in big numbers to attend the Nebbi Diocese Church of Uganda Women Convention for this year at  Ukuru Archdeaconry Headquarters in Warr Ukemu.

The four-day convention with the theme, ” Lord, to whom shall we go “, Taken from the book of John 6:68, started on Thursday.

The Bishop of Nebbi Diocese Church of Uganda Rt. Rev Pons Ozelle Awinju, who was the main celebrant at the event, has commended believers for gracing the event in big numbers.

He revealed that “more than 200 believers  ” have abandoned their earthly way of life and  desires and gave their lives to Christ,  laying strong foundation towards development of the church.

The Bishop further revealed that the next Convention will take place in Alala Archdeaconry, thus giving ample time for earlier preparation for the host.

More than 2000 believers attended this year’s convention according to the organizers.

The Chairperson Women Convention Nebbi Diocese Church of Uganda Winnie Pitic said ” we thank God for believers who helped us spiritually, physically, and economically  to give this event a success, may God bless you all”.

Pitic called upon believers to continue with the Spirit of supporting Church activities and projects for effective  development of the church.

The convention saw hundreds of prayer warriors “driving out demons amongst the demon-possessed believers”.

Rose Mary Onyutha, The Chairperson  Women Council Nebbi Diocese Church of Uganda, has commended believers for turning up in big numbers and urged them to Put the messages aired right from day one into practice, such that they are renewed in their faith.

Last week, The Diocese successfully organised  Youth Conferences across  the Diocese, all aiming at shaping and strengthening believers as they journey through salvation in the Church.
