PBA FC held Calvary FC in FUFA Big League Derby

By ALEX PITHUA

Paidha Black Angels FC (PBA) held Calvary FC in the West Nile derby of the FUFA BigLeague tense encounter on Sunday at Bar Okoro Stadium.

The Zombo based giant put up a spirited fight to collect a maximum three but the Yumbe based Calvary FC gave them more chances in their debut but couldn’t hit into the posts.

The goalless game left Calvary FC celebrating their efforts as they are focused to maintain their might in the second round of the FUFA Big League competitions.

Simon Otim, the head coach of Calvary FC commended his players for the effort they maintained in the first leg of this season’s Big League games.

Calvary finished this first round among the top four teams like Bumba Saints and other two.

“We had come to pick maximum points but this will help us focus on the second leg.”  Otim observed

Paidha Black Angels FC, who ended the season with sacking the chairman, is now operational under the leadership of the fans and business community.

They believe in the near future, they will install a new management team to steer the club to glory.

But for this last game Paidha Black Angels PRO, Tasha Giramia, applauded fans for always being supportive but says players played well but missed the chance to score at home grounds.

She observed that although they were more dominant throughout the game chances were not well utilized, acknowledging that the defensive side of the opponent was hard to break-through by PBA strikers.

“We were more dominant but their side was very strong.” Giramia recounted in a sideline interview
