NRM Polls: Provisional results Maj Gen Kyaligonza defeats Dr Baryomunsi, Deputy Speaker Oulanyah defeats Engola in Luweero. Whisper Eye Reports.

Provisional results from Luwero district indicates that Maj Gen (Rtd) Matayo Kyaligonza has defeated Uganda Minister of State for Housing, Chris Baryomunsi by margin of two votes.

The two are contesting on the post of National Resistance Movement (NRM) party National Vice Chairperson for Western Region.

Gen Kyaligonza has got 35 votes and Dr Chris Baryomunsi has scored 33 votes.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oulanyah has defeated Sam Engola in Luwero for the position of the deputy NRM party chairperson for the northern region.

Hon Oulanyah has scored 65 votes and Sam Engola 13 votes.
