Outspoken Mukono municipality legislator Hon Betty Nambooze Bakireke has defied the presidential order and donated masks and sanitary tanks to Mukono residents.

While giving out these items to Mukono residents, she said that Health is Wealth.

Democratic Party (DP) vice president for Buganda region told Whisper Eye that the government has failed to provide Covid-19 protective equipments .

Saying that her constituency can not wait for the government program yet people need these items to protect them selves from the deadly Corona Virus.

“In Mukono we shall not wait for the 81billion shillings masks,’ states MP Nambooze.

” Each one from a six year-old child will receive the Nambooze-Stay safe Health initiative’s Mask, she vows.”

According to MP Nambooze, her efforts intend to sensitise residents of Mukono the basic affordable guidelines to prevent Covid-19 pandemic.

“We are preaching adherence to the seemingly simple health guidelines by World Health Organisation (WHO) and we believe that working together with love, we shall defeat Covid-19, she explained.”

Hon Nambooze also advised the Electoral Commission (EC) to provide protective equipments all over the country, to free political rallies.

She said that following such guidelines political rallies can effectively be organised.
