The Deputy spokesperson of the MK army in Buganda region Hon Daudi Kabanda, the MP for Kasambya speaks out on MK Army. #WhisperEyeNews
The MP has come out to say that their movement is only waiting for Gen Yoweri Museveni to give them a go-ahead to contest for the 2026 polls but not NRM as a party.
Kabanda a diehard of Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has said so amidst talk from a section of NRM officials led by Vice President Hon Jesca Alupo who said that they cannot support Gen Muhoozi but will only stand behind Gen Museveni who holds the vision of this country.
Kabanda has for long taken no prisoners attacking the Vice President and Minister for Internal Affairs Gen Kahinda Otafiire accusing them of not loving Gen Museveni by not telling him the truth that the time has come for him to hand over power to the next generation since he has done his part.
Kabanda’s argument is that there is nothing President Museveni will do in the next 5 years or 10 that he has failed to do in the last 37 years and thus it is time to hand over to Gen Muhoozi who will consolidate the achievements that the NRM has scored in the last many decades.
“The MK Movement is only waiting for permission from President Museveni and not any organization.” He said
Kabanda added that the MK army is a strong movement ready to massively defeat anyone once allowed to Participate in the 2026 General election.
Gen Muhoozi’s only huddle to the Presidency is his father Gen Museveni whom he cannot contest against but only wait for his approval to appear on the 2026 ballot paper.
