“Mengo is full of greedy people.” Gen Museveni

Gen Yoweri Museveni while speaking to the congregation at the Liberation day celebrations in Kakumiro District pointed fingers at the Mengo Administration accusing it if being greedy with land yet many of the baganda in the region are landless.

Gen Museveni said that cultural institutions think owning large pieces of land make them powerful yet it is the peace and good living conditions of the people that make an institution strong.

Today, government handed over 4000 land titles to the people of Kakumiro which land government bought for the people who were facing eviction threats.

The people of Bunyoro thanked the president of Uganda for saving them from being evicted from their bibanja and being able to hand land titles to them to own their land for good.
