Mawokota fans back in their stadium to witness 3-0 emphatic win over Kabula

After 4 consecutive matches with 3 ending in goalless draws, and an away humiliation by Mawogola which tempted fans to block their support towards the team, three times Masaza Cup winners, Mawokota yesterday humbled Kabula with a 3-0 home win at Archbishop Kasujja Memorial Stadium in Buwama.

Kayondo Joseph netted a corner kick and offered Mawokota a lead of the game in the 2nd minute. Kidega Godfrey came-in in the 48th minute a scored a 2nd goal. In the 78th, Muwayiira Brian Zaala put the icing on the cake with the game’s third in what was the last nail into Kabula’s coffin.

It should be remembred that their first meeting of the season ended in a 0-0 draw at Lyantonde,

Mawokota free-flowing football which has been showcased again has brought a smile on faces of the fans who had blocked their support towards the team on what they termed as “a poor performance of the team”, blaming it on Coach Richard Malinga and Ronald Kavuma’s technical team.

The win puts Mawokota in the 2nd position of the Muganzirwazza Group, with just an alphabetical difference since they poses same results with Gomba which tops the group.

Next Saturday Mawokota is to seal on the waters of lake Victoria to face Ssese at Lutoboka. Their last meeting at Buwama endeded in a goalless draw.
