In a communiqué by the Lord Mayor, he has informed the public that he argued out his case against Justice Byabakama on obnoxious orders on campaigns and judgment is reserved for 6th January.
It’s on record that the Lord Mayor filed a case against the Election commission boss protesting the orders which were made deterring campaigns in 11 districts including Kampala.
Another opposition candidate Bobi Wine was restrained and held in Kalangala islands and later flown back to Kampala in a military helicopter.
The elections are scheduled to be held on the 14th of January 2021. It is not known whether the court judgment will serve the lord mayor’s purpose.
