Large Numbers: Hundreds flock people power offices to register as NUP members. Whisper Eye Updates

Hundreds and hundreds of National Unity Platform (NUP) supporters flock party headquarters to get newly launched membership cards.

On Tuesday hon Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu launched NUP party membership cards at Kamwokya a Kampala suburb.

According to the head Mobilisation and organisation committee in People Power, Our Power Movement that turned into NUP, Sulayiman Kidandala Sserwadda they have registered about 5,000 members within the first two days.

“This is just a launch process, and we have registered 5,000 members of NUP in two days”, says Mr Kidandala.

Kampala former Deputy Lord Mayor Kidandala told Whisper Eye News that hundreds and hundreds are paying for their membership cards.

” It costs ugx 1,000 each, and it has been very difficult to get one within these two days, due to high demand,” he added.

Kyadondo East MP Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu declared to contest with president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and on 14th July 2020, he was elected the president of National Unity Platform (NUP) and an umbrella was launched as its symbol.
