Kampala Woman NUP flag bearer counsel Shamim Malende halts her campaign to rescue party president body guard Kavuma Jamushid from Kasangati police cell.

Mr Kavuma was arrested on 3rd December as National Unity Platform (NUP) party presidential flag bearer hon Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert was travelling to Kibuku, Budaka and Manafwa on his campaign trail.

Sources close to Ms Shamim Malende told Whisper Eye that the Police is like deliberately preventing them from campaigning.

“Whenever we make our campaign program the police directly block us or directly arrest our people and we spend more time to rescue them,” says the source.

Immediately after rescuing Mr Kavuma Ms Shamim Malende said now they are doing whatever it takes to rescue Ariho Norbert also a body guard to hon Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine.

“I can’t continue with my campaigns when one of Our President’s campaign crew member is behind bars. No, I will ensure that we rescue our people until we defeat president Museveni by a ballot. We are winning this, quote me,” says Mis Malende at Kasangati police immediately after the release of Mr Kavuma.

Kavuma has been released on a police bond.
