Just In: Rebels over ran ituri province in DRC . Whisper Eye Reports.
Notorious rebel group has overran Bunia town the capital of Ituri province in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) today Friday September 4, 2020 morning.
Reports from Bunia town indicate that the rebels entered the town in the wee hours yesterday, and by today morning they were in total control.
Rebels immediately after taking control of the town, they released all prisoners.
According to residents in Bunia say that about 80% of the released prisoners joined the rebels.
Residents say that rebels have no harm to they, and the situation has stabilised in the afternoon.
Bunia town is Eastern DRC near to Uganda with a population of four million.
