Uganda Human Rights top lawyer Mr. Nicholas Opiy has been set back to prison.
Opiyo who is battling money laundering charges appeared at Buganda Road Court via Zoom from Kitalya prison.
Opio who is a renowned critic of government over human rights violations was picked up by plain-clothed operatives on Tuesday from Lamaro Restaurant in Kamokya, a Kampala suburb where he was having lunch with his colleagues.
He was taken to the Police Special Investigations Department headquarters in Kireka together with four other human rights defenders.
