DPP drops bogus corruption-related charges against EOC’s Sylvia Ntambi. Whisper Eye Reports

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has determined that all corruption-related charges against EOC Ntambi Sylvia should be dropped on the grounds of lack of evidence from the State House Lt Col Nakalema led Anti- Corruption Unit.

The accused Mrs Ntambi the outgoing chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Commission was charged with three counts of criminal charges under the Anti-Corruption Court last year.

When the case came up for mention today at the Anti-corruption the prosecutor informed the court that his boss Jane Frances Abodo gave a nod to have charges against Ntambi dropped due to lack of sufficient evidence.

However, the prosecutor declined to inform the court the names and the number of other accused persons let off the hook. The names, he said, will be known once the DPP amends the charge sheet.
