Jeema party set to construct district offices in Kyotera a head of 2021. Whisper Eye Updates.

The Justice Forum Party commonly referred to as JEEMA is constructing party offices in Kyotera district a head of 2021 general elections in Uganda.

JEEMA offices are located in Kyotera town council, the biggest town in the district.

Party president, also Bugiri Municipality MP Assuma Basaliwa told Whisper Eye that the party intends to open permanent offices in all districts of Uganda.

‘JEEMA Kyotera Office is taking shape. It’s our desired vision to have permanent offices in all districts in Uganda, says MP Basalirwa.

“Special thanks to Mr. Tebajjwa Adam, the JEEMA Kyotera district Chairman and Kyotera County MP aspirant, he added.

The Justice Forum Party, was originally established as a pressure group in 1995 under the One-Party system of the National Resistance Movement.

In 1996 general Elections under One-Party system, presidente Yoweri Kaguta Museveni won the Elections.

Mr Museveni obtained a total of 4,428,119 votes (74.2 per cent).

The Democratic Party (DP) president general Paul Ssemogerere, who was the coalition presidential candidate of the Inter-Party Forces Cooperation (IPFC), came second with 1,416,139 votes (23.8).

And the JEEMA party candidate Mohammed Kibirige Mayanja trailed with a paltry 120,000 votes.

Haji Kibirige Mayanja again contested in 2001 against Dr Kiiza Besigye who was the major opposition candidate and finished in the fourth position with 73,790 votes (1.0 Percent).
