Fallen Kyotera Woman MP’s daughter joins the race to replace her. Whisper Eye Reports

Ms Nantongo Fortunate Rose, a 26-year-old daughter of former Kyotera Woman Member of Parliament (MP), Robina Ssentongo has been nominated to contest for the vacant MP seat.

Robina Ssentongo died from the deadly Coronavirus recently.

Ms Nantongo has nominated by Koreb Nahamya, the Kyotera District Electoral Commission Registrar on the Democratic Party ticket at the district headquarters in Kasaali town council.

Ms Nantongo symbol will be the hoe.

After nomination, Ms. Nantongo a lawyer by profession thanked the Democratic Party (DP) for entrusting her with this position to represent them in the race.

She also sent her condolences to the people of Kyotera and Ugandans at large for losing their dear friend Hon Nantongo Robinah her mother.

She vowed to traverse the whole of the Kyotera district and inform her voters of the message of hope, I would like to assure Kyotera people that am committed to keeping her legacy, Ms Nantongo added.

Other candidates in the race include NRM’s Juliet Kinyamatama and others

 Ms. Robinah Ssentongo died on December 18th and was laid to rest on December 20, at Kyotera.
