Exclusive: NUP EC chairperson Mercy Walukamba praises Bobi Wine’s sister Betty Ssentamu, gives her ticket without vetting. Whisper Eye Reports

National Unity Platform (NUP) party chairperson for Elections management commission Ms Mercy Walukamba has praised MP Kyagulanyi’s sister Betty Ssentamu for standing firm and decided to contest for Gomba district woman MP seat.

Ms Ssentamu is mobilising residents of Gomba district to vote for change in 2021.

Ms Walukamba said that Gomba district is one of the district where NRM is strong and having a candidate contesting for the woman MP seat is a blessing.

It was confirmed that Ms Betty Ssentamu is the flag bearer for NUP as the woman MP for Gomba district.

She is to face the incumbent woman MP Sylvia Nayebale who won the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party ticket in the just concluded elections to run for her second term.
