DP’s Mao okays Mbidde’s bid to back Bobi Wine  for President. Whisper Eye Reports

Masaka DP District Chairperson Fred Mukasa Mbidde  to back Bobi Wine for President.

The outgoing EALA MP confirmed to Whisper Eye that it is indeed true he will back Bobi Wine for President.

According to Mbidde he was the first DP NEC member to back Bobi Wine a year ago which stand he still maintains.

I was the first DP NEC member to publicly support Bobi for presidency one year ago which position I still carry. I asked permission from the President General to continue doing the same which he granted .Mbidde confirmed.

Accordingly ,my posters bear the People Power Logo as a true reflection of this position. He continued to state.

Mbidde who succesfully launched his parliamentary bid last weekend said some of those backing Bobiwine from Masaka are only interested in their parliamentary seats but not seeing Bobi Wine become President.

Speaking to DP’s Okolel Opio the mouth piece of the oldest political party in the country confirmed that it is true the newly elected Vice President of the party will back Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu of the National Unity Platform presidentail bid and not that of Nobert Mao.

Whisper Eye efforts to get a word from the National Unity Platform Joel Ssenyonyi was futile however Mubiru James one of the National Unity Platform founders welcomed Mbidde’s backing of their Presidential Candidate.
