Covid-19: Police to reinstate curfew checkpoints

Covid-19: Police ask Ugandans to observe curfew hours. Whisper Eye Reports

Uganda Police has announced it will this Monday night reinstate all curfew check points to curb the upward trend in violations of the 9pm curfew.

The curfew was put in place as part of the measures against the spread of Covid 19.

SP Patrick Onyango, the spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police in a press said  “Tonight, we are re-instating all curfew check points. Vehicles will be stopped at 2100hrs.

We are witnessing people starting to violate the curfew hours. Today, plan your journey early” – he added.

Ugandans have relaxed in fighting Covid-19 which is becoming a major concern in Uganda according to authorities’.
