Coronavirus: South Sudan information minister Micheal Makuei Lueth tests positive

H.E. Michael Makuei Lueth, Minister of Information and Communications, has publicly declared that he has also tested positive for COVID-19. Whisper Eye Reports.

James Gatdet the spokesperson of the office of the 1st vice president confirmed.

He has issued a public statement declaring that he tested positive.

He is currently the third senior South Sudan’s government official to come out publicly about the positive COVID-19 status after the First Vice President, H.E. Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon, and H.E. Madam Angelina Teny, the Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

He said he is also in self-quarantine in his residence, and that other members in his residence will be tested as well.

Hon. Makuei also acknowledged that there are other members in the former High Level Taskforce who have tested positive.

He is healthy with no symptoms also confirmed by the doctor.

South Sudan  has recorded 290 cases of Covid-19, 4 recoveries and four deaths.
