Breaking: Scores injured in Nwoya road crash involving Zombo residents

Seven people have been hospitalized after a vehicle they were travelling in overturned between Purongu and Pakwach in Nwoya District.

The incident happened this Monday morning Whispereye News has learnt.

The victims who were coming back from a marriage ceremony from Masindi district are all from Kango Sub-county in Zombo District.

Jimmy Christopher Oweka,  the LC3 chairperson of Kango Sub county confirmed the news to whispereye news.

” The accident has just occurred. My people from Kango were travelling back home and the truck they were travelling in veered off the road. Seven of them are here at Pakwach Health Center IV and others were discharged” Okwonga told the Whisper Eye News in a telephone conversation. 

Last week, a bus belonging to Nile Star bus company was burnt beyond recognition in Nwoya district but no passengers onboard were injured.
