NUP President Hon Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Bobi Wine said that govt has failed to cater for its people and thus for them they cannot look on as fellow Ugandans are dying.

Kyagulanyi added that he won’t be surprised even when the few billions that govt has set aside to help the people of Karamoja are stolen by the regime mafias because corruption and NRM are twins.

The government set aside 130 billion to buy relief food for the dying Karamajongs according to Prime Minister Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja.

Kyagulanyi has called upon all Ugandans in their capacities big or small to contribute something to save the lives of the people of Karamoja.

It is not yet clear whether the government will allow the fundraising process to take on but by press time, no information from the Police or any sister force has released a statement blocking the activities from taking place.

Over 200 deaths have been recorded in Karamoja in a period of fewer than 2 months with all the victims died of hunger.
