The police have arrested the chairperson of Kayebemu Parish Development Model Sacco on allegations that he has been sabotaging the government program.
Kayebemu PDM Sacco members claim that their chairperson has been asking for bribes from them in order to access the PDM seed capital from their Sacco.
“He has been asking money to register our names on the system, to receive the seed capital fund under pillar three: Financial Inclusion of the PDM program,” says a Sacco member.
A reliable source intimated to Whisper Eye News, said the chairperson has been taken to police custody as investigations continue to their final conclusion.
President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni sanctioned the PDM as a magic government program to fight against poverty in the country and warned to deal with any person who plans to fail this program including government officials.
