The huge 5 billion shillings figure for half an acre of land in Makerere Kavule- Bwaise has raised eyes brows of many citizens who think that the people involved in the deal must have inflated the price so as they could walk away with a very huge commission.

Our reporter Kiggindu lineaker sports was able to find out that in the neighborhood, Pastor Aloysius Bujingo of House of prayer Ministries and Salt Media bought 8 acres of land at a total cost of 9 billion shillings barely two years ago.

The 5 billion figure for just half an acre would mean that the cost of land in the area appreciated by over 1000% in just a space of two years.

NUP officials in the deal are yet to explain if at all enough ground work was done to actually understand the average cost of land in the area or if they were hoodwinked by the city land dealers.

This comes at a time when the new kid on the block unveiled land for construction of its party headquarters receiving applause from it’s supporters.

We shall keep you posted!
