Arrested author of The Greedy Barbarian and regime crtic Kankwenza freed on court bail

The Greedy Barbarian author Kakwenza Rukira Bashaija has been granted court bail after spending month in prison.

The Chief Magistrate court in Iganga has granted him a 10m non-cash bail today.

Mr Rukirabashaija was arrested last month and charged for doing an act likely to spread the infection of disease.

On file number CRB E/146/2020. Kakwenza has spent 26days in cells since 6th April, 2020.

‘Fight is on, Justice is earned,’ says council Eron Kiiza.

The Greedy Barbarian published message portraying how government officials are using Covid-19 funds to solve thier personal problems.

Kakwenza has told Whisper Eye that he is to continue fighting against corruption in NRM government lead by president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
