A 37 Year Old Man Died in a Fight in Mitooma District

Police in Mitooma is investigating circumstances surrounding the death of one Nuwashaba Rukooza Allan male aged 37 yrs resident of Kirera village,Mushunga Parish in Mitooma district.

It’s alleged that in the night of 2/8/2022 at around 0200hrs in Kakesa T/Centre , Mushunga Parish , Mitooma sub-county in Mitooma District , the deceased picked a quarrel with one Kamukama Edson male aged 36 yrs of the same address and they started fighting and in the process the deceased was injured on the head an assault case was registered at Mushunga Police Post on 2/8/2022.

The deceased condition worsened and died on3/8/2022 as he was being transported to Ishaka Adventist Hospital for treatment.

The body of the deceased was taken back to Mitooma and postmortem was done at Mitooma H/C iv and it was found out that the cause of death was traumatic brain injury.

ASP Martial Tumusime greater Bushenyi police spokesperson says the suspect is Kamukama Edson who was arrested and is currently detained at Mitooma Police Station as inquiries are still ongoing.
