Top Ugandan Companies Honored at the Prestigious Business Excellence Awards 2025

Uganda’s finest companies were in the spotlight last night as the Business Excellence Awards (BEAwards) 2025 took center stage at the Sheraton Hotel, Kampala. The glamorous ceremony, organized by Consumer Publications Uganda Limited, recognized outstanding achievements in business performance, innovation, and customer satisfaction across multiple sectors of Uganda’s economy.

Graced by government officials, corporate executives, and industry stakeholders, the event was not just a celebration but a tribute to the resilience and transformative power of Uganda’s private sector.

In his keynote address, Mr. Felix Nsiimoomwe, CEO of Consumer Publications Uganda, emphasized the pivotal role businesses play in national development.

“At the Business Excellence Awards, we celebrate the resilience, innovation, and impact of Uganda’s private sector. From creating 1.2 million jobs to serving over 300 million people across East Africa, these companies are transforming our economy,” he said.

Among the night’s biggest highlights was the Excellence in Investment Leadership Award, which went to Hon. Evelyn Anite, the State Minister for Investment and Privatization.

“Over 1.2 million Ugandans are employed by private firms whose products serve East Africans far and wide. Congratulations to Movit, Psalms Foods, Bella Wine, and all other winners for driving national growth and resilience,” Hon. Anite noted during her remarks.

The 2025 awards saw over 80 companies recognized for excellence across various industries. Winners were determined through a thorough process that involved market research, public nominations, and consumer voting, according to Ms. Agnes Alowo, Chief Operations Manager of Consumer Publications.

“This process is consumer-driven. It starts with a market survey that identifies outstanding companies based on quality, reliability, and customer experience. Only those that have proven their worth in the marketplace make it to the nominations,” she explained
