Munamasaka Nsereko Emma releases Museveni’s birthday song, “Obuzaale Bwakaguta”

Renowned Ugandan singer Munamasaka Emma Nsereko, famous for his hit song Museveni Awoma, has once again honored President Yoweri Museveni by releasing a new song titled Obuzaale Bwakaguta, in celebration of Museveni’s upcoming birthday. President Museveni, born on September 15, 1944, will be turning 80 years old this year, and Munamaska Emma has crafted this heartfelt tribute to commemorate the day that Uganda’s historical liberator was born.

In Obuzaale Bwakaguta, Munamasaka Emma vividly narrates the momentous day when Museveni’s mother, the late Esteri Kokundeka, told her husband, Amos Kaguta, that she was experiencing birth contractions. This day, Emma sings, marked the beginning of a journey for Yoweri Museveni, who would later grow up to become one of Uganda’s greatest leaders, liberating the nation after decades of turmoil.

The song continues to highlight Museveni’s humble beginnings as a cattle herder in Kyamate. Munamasaka Emma emphasizes the importance of Museveni’s early education, mentioning his time at Kyamate Elementary School, Ntare High School, Mbarara High School, and finally the University of Dar es Salaam, where Museveni would expand his intellectual horizons, preparing for the battles ahead.

The President’s Birthday celebrations will be held in Nakaseke District on 15th Sept 2024 which is part of the Luweero Triangle where Gen Museveni launched a 5 year guerilla war which liberated Uganda with Munamaska Emma’s song expected to e performed. The song has also been well commended by Hon Alice Kaboyo the State Minister for Luweero Rwenzori Triangle who also happens to be the Chairperson of the organizing committee for the event. The song also been well recieved by Ugandans with many already starting to have it as their ringtone and also played on a number of events
