As some self seekers start what they have termed as Parliament exhibition, they have mostly targeted to taint the image of Rt Hon Among. It’s not just a coincidence but this is a planned move, supported and funded by some elements within Parliament.
For the record, Anita Among has only been Speaker of Parliament for barely two years, the question we should be asking ourselves “has she failed to deliver on her mandate as Speaker” and the answer is NO.
The gerrymandering by those fueling the said exhibition is seen as a HATE campaign. For example is it new that the Speaker is entitled to an annual paid vacation, did anyone ever criticize the past Speakers for taking the same. Isn’t the Speaker allowed to hire staff for her office?. We should ask ourselves genuine questions from which a healthy debate can be generated but not promote a campaign full of hate.
In past 10 years, there were many easterners employed at Parliament especially Basoga from as low as cleaners. Why didn’t the so-called activists come out to term this as nepotism.
On the question of parlimentary staff whose contracts were not renewed. There are many staff at Parliament who are hired on contractual basis, 2 and half years contract. The contract is either subject to renewal or not. Just like employees elsewhere, once your terms of employment read contract, you have to prepare for either a contract renewal or exit. Employing staff on contract basis wasn’t introduced by Rt Hon Anita Among, it was a practice way before she became Speaker of Parliament or even Member of Parliament.
Now let’s get back to the roles of the Speaker and determine whether AAA has failed short of her roles as head of the institution.

The Speaker receives dignitaries and high profile visitors to Parliament
Conducts inter parliamentary relations
Issues external high-level communication on behalf of Parliament
Links Parliament with the Executive
Oversees the functioning of the Parliamentary Service through the Clerk to Parliament
Chairs all the sittings of Parliament and ensures that the Rules of Procedure are observed
As head of the institution, the Speaker represents Parliament in its corporate relations.
Has Rt Hon Anita Annet Among failed to execute any of her roles?
In the short period she has led Parliament, the Speaker has not in anyway failed to deliver on roles, its rather absurd when some paid influencers start a campaign that only targets the person of Anita Among to the extent of auditing her personal life with her family. We need to always limit ourselves. Why are you hurt by the fact that her office allows her a paid vacation with her spouse, we call that “NYEKO”
