NUP Foot Soldiers tournament advances talent across Uganda

Over the weekend, the National Unity Platform (NUP) continued its mission to support grassroots talent development with the NUP Foot Soldiers Tournament, spreading enthusiasm and competition throughout Uganda.

Led by Singer Nubian Buken Ali, head of the arts, culture, and entertainment department, the event saw teams in Jinja receiving vital playing kits and balls, courtesy of generous contributions from well-wishers. These donations signify the collective effort to foster local talent and empower communities through sports.

Following the gear distribution, attention shifted to Namutumba district, where the tournament’s final group matches unfolded with intense fervour. Participating teams showcased their skills and determination, vying for coveted spots in the upcoming round of 16.

The atmosphere was electric as players exhibited their prowess on the field, with spectators cheering on their favourite teams. The tournament not only provides a platform for friendly competition but also catalyzes community engagement and unity.
