Exclusive: Five best managers in Buganda Airtel Masazza Football tournament 2023 named

The Buganda Airtel Masazza Football Tournament 2023 episode exploded with a new breed of football team managers that fear no danger of encountering pressure from fans of their respective counties ‘Amasazza’. #WhisperEyeNews

Whisper Eye Investigation Bureau Unit conducted intensive research on all 18 counties that participated in the ongoing Buganda Airtel Masazza Football tournament and found five extraordinary Masazza Football Clubs managers.

Managing these football clubs is not a joke as it is associated with all of the pressure from fans and they’re too expensive to manage. The following managers manage giant counties in the tournament and all have managed to take their teams to the quarter-finals of the tournament.

No. 1. Bugaya Denis:

Bugaya Denis is the manager of Mawokota FC one of the giant teams in the tournament. He managed to address the challenges of the team immediately after he was appointed the manager.

He was able to identify a strong sponsor of the team – Brooks Agro Farm – Kitojjo, solving the main challenge of sponsorship.

In the past three tournaments, Mawokota has struggled a lot, to the extent of even failing to qualify from the group stage.

He has restructured the team, and Mawokota topped her Muganzirwazza group with 17 points ahead of the time record champion of the tournament Gomba with one point.

Mawokota in the group stage collected four points from champions Busiro defeating them in front of the Kabaka at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankuluku in the opening match 3-1, and a goal-less draw at Archbishop Kasujja Memorial Stadium, Buwama.

They earned four points from record champions of the tournament – Gomba, a win at Archbishop Kasujja Memorial Stadium, Buwama and a goalless draw at Kabulasoke Gomba.

However before the start of the tournament, Mawokota was seen as a weak team. It has proved to be more organized and turned into a giant-killer threatening other big teams, including; Singo, Buddu, and Buwekula.

Bugaya has united football fans in Mawokota who were divided by politics. Today both supporters of the ruling party and those from the opposition enjoy supporting the team freely.

Bugaya Denis is a lawyer.
