Remmy Bahati calls for release of NUP’s Olivia Lutaaya

Uganda’s celebrated journalist Bahati Remmy who is based in USA calls for the immediate release of National Unity Platform supporter Olivia Lutaaya. #WhisperEyeNews

In her post she says, “𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐝: 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐋𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐲𝐚’𝐬 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬”

“In the realm of justice, there comes a point where a sufficient amount of oppression has been endured. It is imperative that someone takes a stand and declares that the limit has been reached”. Enough is Enough! , she adds.

She added, Free Olivia Lutaaya, a mother of two who has been detained for an extended period (two years) without trial for her support of the opposition in Uganda. I call upon everyone who value women’s rights to make their voices heard. Make “noise” for them”.

Olivia Lutaaya a single mother of two was arrested two years ago for what her fellow supporters claim was state sponsored charges.

She is held on Remand in Luzira as leaders and human rights activists join the cause to call for her release.
