Avoid engaging in acts of immorality, but always have integrity and pray to God to give you wisdom”. Archbishop Dr Paul Ssemogerere urges students of Queen of Martyrs Secondary School Kigoma – Bujuuko, Wakiso.

The Kampala Archdiocese Archi-Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr Paul Ssemogerere has cautioned youths to avoid drug abuse and immoral acts like homosexuality which will ruin their future.

The Arch-Bishop said this while commissioning a new building and grand opening of Queen of Matrys Secondary School at Kigoma-Bujuuko in Wakiso district.

His grace Archbishop Ssemogerere showed disappointment to the many youths in the country who are disgruntled due to drug abuse, poverty, unemployment and early marriages which is a signal of danger for Uganda’s future.

He also condemned those engaging in corruption and mismanagement of government funds to stop it especially after funders withdrew support from Uganda due to the anti-homosexuality law.

In conclusion, Archi-Bishop Paul Ssemogerere advised students at Queen of Matrys SS to maintain the environment by planting more fruit trees even when they go back to their communities due to climate change which is also becoming a big catastrophe across the world.

However, one of the directors of the School Hon. Joseph Kabuye Kyofatogabye Kabuye who is also the State Minister for Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs, promised to offer the best to the students for better performance.

He also encouraged students to be careful not to engage in bad acts during holidays but to follow the parents’ guidance and in our African cultures.
