Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga during the weekly press brief this morning at his office has come out to say that the media falsely reports about his relationship with the Nabagereka of Buganda. #WhisperEyeNews
Katikiro said that the media created a false interpretation following his absentia during the launch of Nabagereka’s book last month at Serena Hotel in Kampala.
Katikiro says he did not attend simply because he was away on leave but this doesn’t mean that he has a bitter relationship with the Nabagereka.
“It is wrong to assume that I have issues with the Nnabagereka of Buganda. I was absent from her book launch because I was away on leave.
Those who read the book will realize that I wrote the forward. I support Maama Nnabagereka and I have always supported her projects including the Kisakaate.” Mayiga said
However, the world was shocked that no official from the Buganda Kingdom attended the launch nor any media coverage from the known Kingdom media stations something that raised the eyebrows of many.
