Uganda Police has warned people who destroyed Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago’s billboards in various areas in Kampala.

According to allegations they were members of National Unity Platform (NUP) who are battling the incumbent Lord Mayor who refused to support Bobi Wine.

Mr Lukwago through his official campaign agent Mr Kintu Elvis reported a case at Jinja Road Police Station yesterday on file number 69/23/11/2020.

The malicious damage of Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago’s political campaign billboard happened at Jinja Road, opposite Lugogo bypass.

The vandalised bill board was 29 by 4 metres.

“We have asked the Uganda Police to share with us the camera footages,” says Lord Mayor Lukwago through his agent .

“The beauty of this malicious act is that it is in the centre of three stationed cameras,” he added.

He asked all candidates in the race to practice and participate in a free and fair campaign without attacking their opponents and/or campaign materials.
