Uganda cranes camps suffers a blow as two foreign based stars suffer injuries pulling them out of South Sudan Double Afcon header.

Two Foreign Based Players aret miss the South Sudan Doubleheader encounter due to injuries. The victims are Uche Mubiru Ikpeazu and Alex Kakuba who play in the English championship and the Portuguese League respectively.

The duo have been part of the 20 foreign based contingent summoned earlier.
Striker Uche picked an injury on Friday in training with his English Championship side Wycombe Wanderers while Left back Alex Kakuba who plays for Portuguese side CD Cova has pulled out.

According to the Uganda cranes coach, this is a big blow to the camp but has assured Ugandans that there is still room to replace the injured players with other players especially from the local league whom he believes can still do a great job.

“We have to prepare the players because they are very much used to playing on the intensity and motion atmosphere which the fans always bring in the stadium. Most of our players are coming from Europe where they have experienced a similar situation in the last couple of months so hopefully they will adapt to it but we have to take measures to make sure that players can psychologically cope up well with an empty stadium.” Mckinstry said
