Over my dead body, Roy Semboga tells Bobi Wine’s NUP he won’t back out for Kazibwe Bashir

Over my dead body, Roy tells Bobi Wine’s NUP he won’t back out for Kazibwe Bashir. Whisper Eye Reports.

Former Makerere Guild president states as below.

Fellow countrymen and women I greet you in the name of the Almighty but particularly my fellow constituents in Kawempe South.

From the onset I want to state that I am a committed and loyal member of both the people power movement and NUP(National Unity Platform) and very purposed on achieving our liberation struggle.

Having been a founding member of people power movement it would be extremely preposterous for me to throw in the towel now.

I know that our liberation struggle is hinged on the power of the people and I have no doubt that by Almighty’s grace we will overcome the dictatorship sooner than later.

Allow me hurry to state that being a high ranking member of the executive of NUP/People Power ,I intend to continue executing my duties in the different portfolios in the attempt of ensuring that we overwhelm our oppressors and finally set our dear country on the path of true democracy and meaningful representation for all in all arms of our government.

I have had numerous engagements with all members of the board of NUP and the top leadership most importantly with our Principal and Presidential candidate Hon Kyagulanyi Sentamu Robert in whom I have all the confidence he will lead us to the promised land,a Democratic,United and Progressive Uganda.

My confidence in the leadership of NUP and in particular the Principal is firm and can never be shaken by any disagreement especially if that contardiction is hinged on principle and will continue working with my colleagues to ensure we deliver on the promises we have made to our fellow countrymen and for me with particular focus on those dear to me the people of Kawempe South.

There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe nor political nor popular, but he must take it because his conscience tells him it is right and at an individual level there comes a time when one must make hard and tough decisions and follow them.

It’s at this juncture that I would like to let the country know and the people of Kawempe south who are very dear to me that I will be running for the position of Member of Parliament for Kawempe South 2021 to 2026.

I have already made my decision known to my comrades in the struggle in NUP/People Power and at the right time I will share the details.

For now my focus is on how we continue toiling to ensure our Principal and NUP Party President hon Kyagulanyi Ssentamu triumph dictator in the coming election 2021.It is my pledge that it is in kawempe south that he will get the highest number of votes in 2021.

For my fellow constituents in Kawempe south it is now your time to exercise the true meaning of people power and send a hardworking, resilient, resourceful, developmental ,social and assertive Member of Parliament to the August house and that person is none other than SSEMBOGGA ROY.

In the coming days we will continue to give you more details regarding our manifesto for both country and Kawempe south.

I want to end by extending my appreciation to all comrades that have stood by me and the people power movement and our NUP party but in particular our dear principal for whom am grateful to be serving since we founded the above liberation agenda and institution until now.

May the Almighty bless you abundantly. For God and My Country.
