Security forces in Masaka region have recovered two guns from the former Crane Bank branch in Masaka City just opposite Muto Complex and four security personnels attached to Saracen company have been arrested.

Those arrested are detained at Central Police Station (CPS) Masaka for interrogations.

Our reliable sources intimate to security agencies informed Us that those arrested have been identified.

Suspects are Denis Kasamba, Denis Mukisa all supervisor from Saracen company and Abdu Lazak Lizzy asecurity guard at Saracen company and one other.

The two guns were recovered from the ceiling of former Crane bank covered with a polythene bag.

The highly security sources told Whisper Eye News that the SMG gun which was stolen from a police post was recovered with eighteen ammunitions and another type of gun was also recovered.

The sources further say, that the suspects after stealing an Smg from the police office attached to Masaka they started using it and few weeks back they shot a mobile money attendant at Ssaza in Masaka City and disappeared with her millions of shilling and later she was taken in Masaka regional referral hospital for medication.

After their arrest they accepted that and revealed to police intelligence officers what they have been doing with the two guns in regard to terrorizing the region.

Betty Nakafuuma one of the businesswoman in Masaka district appreciated the good job done by all security operatives more especially the DPC SP David Katunda beacuse since he was deployed in Masaka now days theft breaking cases and robberies reduced.

“I appeal to fellow locals to cooperate with all security agencies if we want to clear Masaka city as far as Security is concerned because most of the thugs who are terrorizing this area at night 80% aborn from Masaka,” says Nakafuuma.

Investigations are going on to their final conclusion.
