Luzzie dumps NRM for DP sets eyes to dislodge NUP youth leader Mp Zaake. Whisper Eye Reports
National Resistance Movement (NRM) Mityana municipality loser in the party primaries Luzzi Abraham has dumped his party to join the Democratic Party (DP).
Mr Luzzi lost the NRM party flag to Bugembe John Mary Kamya 5,524 votes representing 72.28% of the total vote.
Mr Luzzi came second with 2119 votes representing 27.72% and Mr Ssenabulya Kakumba Wilber got 385 votes representing 15.38%.
However Mr Luzzi challenges the results, if you add up the percentage figures makes a total of 115.38% which is impossible.
Thus he challenges the results saying that there was vote rigging, hence defecting to DP
“Dear Mityana Municipality community.
I thank you for the love, care and courage you have shown me ever since I started my campaign trail in the liberation of our community in order to have a proper and meaningful representation in the mighty parliament of our mother land Uganda through the NRM party,” says Mr Luzzi.
“In a special way,I thank the women, sports men and women, businessmen and women for your grate support and participation,” he added.
“Like I promised you, never to let you down, you have worked hard, and I cant betray you. Its now or never,” he stated.
Mr Luzzi alleges that honestly, his votes were rigged.
“We were cheated, and down played in the friendly match that we had on the 4th September 2020 between my brother Hon. Johnmary Bugembe and Hon. Kakumba Vicent” he said.
“I suspect the referee had malaria which could not make her make honest and right decisions,” Mr Luzzi adds.
Mr Luzzi told Whisper Eye news that the district registrar Ms Tumwebaze Faith kept on giving away the goals of residents of Mityana and endlessly kissing the whistle whenever he (Mr Luzzi) would try to score against his enemy.
“She even gave my opponent abnormal penalties, all my votes and the algebra percentage 115%. It was an arithmetical shame of our generation,”
“With that in place therefore,
I have decided as I promised to go straight to preparations for the final match obviously between the faded stingless Hon. Zaake Francis Butebi and the dancing fertile Hon. Luzzi Abraham Mbazzi Ewaata,” he stated.
“In our last friendly match ladies and gentlemen, I could have made mistakes, and hurt some people. It was not my intentional,” he explained.
The youthful politician has humbly asked for forgiveness for all the faults and fouls.
“They could have been out of excitement, tension, love of the game and in some cases ignorance. All victims,I tender my sincere apologies,” he stated.
“To you NRM my party,
It was my pride playing in my famous bright Yellow colours. I will miss my color,” he remarked.
I promise you,the “people of Mityana Municipality, we gonna have the best match ever in 2021 General Elections
He has asked his supporters to kindly participate in the forthcoming general elections.
