Singer Joseph Mayanja popularly known as Dr Jose Chameleone has been shot with rubber bullet on his leg and is in critical conditions.

A security officer has shot Mr Mayanja on his leg as he was addressing journalists on the situation at his Lord Mayoral offices at Mengo, along Balintuma road in Kampala.

Some journalists have also been brutally tortured and they have aggressively exchanged bitter words with security officers at the scene.

Mr Mayanja’s campaign director Mr Lubowa Henry has been arrested by police officers commanded by allegedly SFC soldiers.

At the moment no body is allowed to enter Mr Mayanja’a offices or moving outside.
