Covid-19: Uganda hit record 705 as 9 test positive

Ministry of Health on Thursday announced 09 new COVID-19 cases, bringing its total number of confirmed cases to 705 . Whisper Eye Reports

All the new cases are truck drivers and alerts and contacts of the same. a statement reads from the ministry.

Whisper Eye has learnt that 4 new cases are Truck drivers who arrived via Elegu and via Mutukula, as 5 cases are contacts and alerts from Amuru , Kyotera and 1 from Entebbe district

The country health ministry, in its daily update this morning of momday confirmed these new rising covid-19 cases.

All contact positive cases are under Quarantine, the ministry confirmed.

Uganda now has 705 covid-19 cases since march.

Uganda also handed over 37 positive foreign truck drivers to their respective countries .

Uganda has now registered 299 recoveries according to the ministry of health with no reports of death.

Malaba, Busia and Mutukula border points turn out to be the most risky areas as far as Covid-19 is concerned.
