UPDF to streamlive Gen Kasirye Gwanga burial

Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF), has yet again announced that only a few important people will be allowed at the deceased Kasirye Gwanga burial . Whisper Eye Reports.

The announcement comes at a time when Gwanga commanding a huge fan base is set to be laid to rest on Friday.

Brig Richard Karemire insisted that it will be a scientific burial of mainly family members.

The army earlier announced that Gen Kasirye’s burial will take place on Friday, but there will be no vigils due to the threats of covid-19.

Maj General (rtd) Kasirye Gwanga died at Nakasero Hospital on Tuesday 9th June 2020 after two weeks illness .

According to UPDF, Gwanga befitting send off were in advanced stages .

Burial will take place at 10:00 am on Friday June 12 2020 at Nkene Village Busujju in Mityana district.

We are setting up a plaform to live stream the burial ceremony in order to be able to follow the proceedings on Facebook and YouTube, said Brig Richard .

According to UPDF only New Vision and UBC media will be allowed at the ceremony.

This comes in line to a void gathering of large crowds .
