Ugandans have applauded medical workers and Health minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng for a recommendable work in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic in the country.

In a survey carried out by Uganda Poor Youth Movement (UPYM) online on their Twitter, Doctors have been praised and Dr Aceng.

Doctors ranked first scoring 75% and Dr Jane Ruth Aceng in the second position with 25%.

UPYM spokesperson Mr Ssempala Zaid told Whisper Eye that they carried out the survey to determine who has played a big role in the successful story of Covid-19 fight.

“National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party chairman president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has tried to use Covid-19 pandemic for 2021 presidential campaigns but Ugandans are informed,’ says Mr Ssempala.

“They have seen the role played by front line workers: Doctors who have given in evething, they have also appreciated Dr Aceng, not President Museveni, he explained.

Dr Jane Ruth Aceng, is a Ugandan pediatrician and politician.

She is the Minister of Health in the Cabinet of Uganda.

She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016.

Before that, from June 2011 until June 2016, she served as the Director General of Medical Services in the Ugandan Ministry of Health.

President Museveni and Speaker Kadaga both scored 0% in the polls.

Dr Aceng has become more popular in Uganda in the recent couple of weeks ago due to her hardworking and successful story of fighting the spread of Corona Virus, and treating Covid-19 patients in the country.
