Covid-19: Uganda coronavirus cases rise by 14 to 212

12 new coronavirus pandemic cases have been reported to have also tested positive for Covid-19 early Monday morning .Whisper Eye Reports.

Whisper Eye has learnt that 12 new cases are all contacts of Truck Drivers taking Uganda’s total number of confirmed coronavirus cases to 212 .

The country health ministry, in its daily update this morning of Monday 25th May 2020 confirmed these new rising covid-19 cases.

All the contacts were under Quarantine at the time of test, MoH statement reads.

Uganda now has 212 Covid-19 cases since march.

Uganda also handed over 5 positive foreign truck drivers to Tanzania .

Samples from points of entry tested was 655 and samples from community and contacts was 1084 making 1739 total samples.

Uganda has now registered 66 recoveries according to the ministry of health with no reports of death.

Malaba, Busia and Mutukula border points turn out to be the most risky areas as far as Covid-19 is concerned.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID19) is a communicable respiratory disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus that causes illness in humans.
