Former Rebel and jailed MP set to bounce back as Member of Parliament come 2021. Whisper Eye Reports.

Kipoi Tonny Nsubuga former MP Bubulo West county has declared him self an aspiring candidate for the same seat come 2021.

In 2018, Hon Kipoi was arrested in Botswana and repatriated back to Uganda to face treason charges in the General Court Martial together with six UPDF officers.

The soldiers were Sgt Yunus Lemeriga, Cpl Rogers Mweru, Sgt Adams Mawa, Sgt Albino Okeng and Pte Dodola Ijosiga, all attached to the armoured brigade in Masaka district.

The army court released him on bail in 2019 and was ordered to report to the court registrar, John Bizimana every first Thursday of the month.

Kipoi started his campaign in Bubulo West County in Manafwa district last week.

Under the slogan “In Kipoi we Trust”, promising Steady progress, jobs and Wealth creation to his people.

According to the political barometer in the county, Kipoi posed to win the seat in 2021.

Hon Kipoi was the area MP for Bubulo West constituency from 2011-2014 in the ninth Parliament.
