Covid-19: Uganda’s cases rise to 198 after 23 test positive

23 new coronavirus pandemic cases have been reported to have also tested positive for Covid-19. Whisper Eye Reports.

Whisper Eye has learnt that 19 new cases are all Truck Drivers taking Uganda’s total number of confirmed coronavirus cases to 198 after a revision by health ministry authorities.

The country health ministry, in its daily update this evening of Saturday confirmed these new rising covid-19 cases.

The new cases , 19 are truck drivers who arrived via Elegu and Busia while 4 cases are among community samples contact who were all under Quarantine.

Uganda now has 198 covid-19 cases since march.

Uganda also handed over 38 positive foreign truck drivers to their respective countries .

Uganda has now registered 66 recoveries according to the ministry of health with no reports of death.

Malaba, Busia and Mutukula border points turn out to be the most risky areas as far as Covid-19 is concerned.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID19) is a communicable respiratory disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus that causes illness in humans.
