The swearing-in ceremony, held at Victoria University’s main auditorium, was a grand occasion that highlighted the institution’s unwavering dedication to fostering student leadership, innovation, and service. It also provided a moment of reflection and gratitude for the outgoing 7th Guild Government, whose efforts were widely commended for leaving a lasting impact on the student body.

In an official statement shared via X (formerly Twitter), the university extended its heartfelt appreciation to the outgoing leaders, stating:

“We extend our congratulations to the 7th Guild Government for a term well served. Your leadership and commitment to student welfare have positively shaped our community, and your impact will be felt for years to come.”

The swearing-in was presided over by Professor Augustine Osamor Ifelebuegu, the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, who represented the Vice Chancellor at the event. In his speech, he emphasized the critical role of student governance in the university’s continued growth and success.

Additionally, the university acknowledged the invaluable contributions of Pr. Wilson, whose blessings and words of encouragement inspired both the incoming and outgoing student leaders.

“Pr. Wilson, your blessings and words of inspiration have truly ignited a renewed sense of purpose within our community. May your light continue to shine, and may you inspire others to follow in your path,” the university expressed in appreciation.

As the swearing-in ceremony concluded in a vibrant and colorful atmosphere, students, faculty, and distinguished guests shared a collective sense of optimism about the future. Many expressed excitement to see the vision and initiatives of Guild President Khaukha Emmanuel take shape over the next year.

With a committed team in place, the new Guild leadership is expected to build upon the legacy of their predecessors, ensuring that Victoria University remains a center of excellence in higher education.
