Unbelievable: NUP vice president Angella Namirembe fails to pay 5 millions for party ticket, to run as an independent candidate. Whisper Eye Reports

Shocking report from Kamwokya indicates that National Unity Platform (NUP) party vice president of Buganda region Ms Angella Namirembe to run as an independent candidate for the post of Female youth councillor Kampala district.

Whisper Eye news is reliably informed that Ms Namirembe Angella was asked Ugx 5,000,000/= (five million) which she failed to raise thus forcing her to go independent.

NUP Secretary general David Lewis Lubongoya and Mr Fred Nyanzi Ssentamu also known as Chairman Nyanzi who is the coordinator of the information sector are implicated in this fraud.

Although NUP top leadership tried to resolve Ms Namirembe issue, the renown Democrat Namirembe refused the party ticket after mistreatment and unfairness.

Ms Namirembe has dropped the party symbol of an umbrella and has adopted Kampala Central MP renowned symbol of a watch.

It is the symbol Bobi Wine used in the Kyadondo East by election in 2017.

Although NUP party president Hon Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu who doubles as the area MP for Kyadondo East popularly known as Bobi Wine said that the party will not support anybody who is not on a party ticket, recently he is making adjustment on his positions.

According to a privy source Mr Wine is to support various candidates from other political parties and independent candidates including Ms Namirembe.
