Truck knocks dead Boda Boda ride fleeing from police and KCCA enforcement officers running after him

A yet to be identified boda boda man has this morning the 12th September 2023 been knocked dead a truck belonging to homeklin services near the Jinja road traffic lights.

Onlookers say the boda boda rider was fleeing away from Kcca and police enforcement officers who were running after him. It is alleged that the enforcement officers tried to arrest the man for breaking traffic rules.

Following his death, a group of colleagues (boda boda riders) went wild protesting against what just happened in solidarity of their fallen comrade by blocking the Jinja road route near the traffic lights. Police has used tear gas and paper spray to disperse the protesters and arresting some in the process.

The body of the victim has been taken to Mulago by a police patrol to Mulago for postmortem.
