Sc Villa silence KCCA in a 2-1 hot contested derby match played in Bombo.

SC Villa ended KCCA FC’s perfect record in the Uganda Premier League with a 2-1 victory at Bombo Military Grounds.

The Joogos goals came from Nicholas Kabonge and Ronald who Sekiganda scored in either half for Villa before striker Brian Aheebwa scored a consolation for the Kasasiro boys from one back from the spot kick.

Villas first goal came in the 32nd minute as Kabonge fired a belter left catching the KCCA custodian unawares. The second and point winner goal came in the 2nd half through Ronald Sekiganda who fired a beautiful low shot.

Kcca’s Aheebwa found a consolation for the visitors from a calmly taken penalty in the 87 minute but KCCA could not do much to level the match.

Amir Kakomo (SC Villa) and Denis Iguma (KCCA FC) were the only players to be cautioned by referee Asadu Semeere.

Villa are now fifth on the UPL log with seven points garnered in four games while KCCA FC are currently second placed with nine points.

SC Villa’s next match will be another derby against Express FC on Saturday while KCCA will welcome URA FC on Friday at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
